You can get a discount with the code DTBM10% This practice has been the most fulfilling part of what I do through Down to Birth Midwifery. To me it feels like an art form. To be able to hold, nurture and nourish women in that raw postpartum time has been a deep privilege. For those women who I serviced multiple times, to experience their bodies strengthening over those postpartum weeks was mind blowing. So much morphing and changing in them physically and also in their mothering. We’re you one of the beautiful women I was able to serve during my time here? Who else here bleeds with the full moon 🩸 The w Who else here bleeds with the full moon 🩸 The witches cycle. Today has caused me to stop. It’s fine because I’m post a beautiful birth last night, lock down, nothing urgent to do. I’m lucky I work in a way that is somewhat flexible and I can adjust my days to suit what my body needs. Obviously other than when babies are coming, which also usually coincides with the full moon 🌕 This energy usually causes a doubling of emotions, with the usual heightened feelings that come with a full moon and those deep introspective feels that come when you bleed. It can also come with a creative flow. Sometimes with nothing more than a calling to be present and breathe. Right now I’m breathing in the gratitude of the lessons my cycle brings, that help me navigate the cycles of life. The light and the dark. The eb and flow. I breathe out. I soften. I release.

This is me. This is really me. As captured by one This is me. This is really me. As captured by one of my talented loves @emmawhiteart. When I’m away from the chatty chatty of the city and my mind. The constant on-call which keeps me in a state of alert, on poise. I need all the elements, in contact with my skin, my lungs, my feet, my soul. I especially need the water to balance out my airy nature. I need the rocks to ground me. Like a snake, I need the sun to energise me. On paper Melbourne is good for me. My people. Amazing work opportunities. An abundance of women to support. And the food 🤤 But it does not align with my soul. I knew my time here would be challenging, but I underestimated it. Absolutely it has held some valuable and necessary teachings. But soon I will be off again to integrate. And where to, I actually have NO idea. My ‘Plans’ like many others this year have fallen through one after the other and my trust has wavered. But I’m trying to stay with it, it’s times like these I’ve learnt I need to trust even more deeply. It’s not everyone’s way of living their lives and I have to keep reminding myself of the times it’s played out for me in the past. So right now I feel like I’m tying together many things, getting ready for the unknown. And trusting it will all turn out the way it is intended to, by immersing myself in the elements and aligning with my true authenticity. For that is the place where magic happens ✨🍄💓
